1. Nihilist Spasm Band - The Ever-Correct allmusic.com dubs the 1965 debuting band "the first noise band". I guess this is because they are a spasm band, which is music-makin' slang for "we build our own instruments and play them all together at once, all out of key, and all at a different tempo". And not only that, but they're Nihilist on top of it all. Sounds like a perfect combo to me. Here's a website of a radio station in London, Ontario where you can listen to a lot of songs this band made. Just click on each individual link to here different albums. Thurston and Co. were definitely sucking the inspirational milk from the teats of NSB decades ago, and it seems like No Neck Blues Band, Sunburned Hand of The Man, Magik Markers and the like are all sucking NSB's teats now.

2. H.N.A.S - Think Coil, Nurse With Wound, etc. 80's German industrial/minimal electornic.

3. Lemonade - NEU San Francisco natives. sounds like they probably drink a lot of LSD spiked lemonade. Their myspace kindof explains their whole "mentality":

THE MAN MOUSTACHE THE formed in 2003-4, and consisted of Michael H., Chad C., and Kevin E. On this particular track, Kevin E. was on vacation in Sweden, so Chad C. ended up playing guitar, keyboard, and other assorted electronics, and Michael H. reproduced a 1981 Sonic Youth drum beat to accompany the track. TMMT died on June 16th, 2006 of natural causes.
